I didn't do anything to my Ranger today

I can't wait to get power to the shop... I'm really tired of trying to weld in the driveway in the rain... heck I have a plasma cutter, cutting torch, several welders (3 stick welders and two wire feeds), horizontal band saw, several grinders but it all takes so much dang work to get it out in the cramped garage... once I get power I'll buy a pair of tanks for one of the wire feed welders, one 75/25 and one argon so I can try TIG and be able to run aluminum through my spool gun... Metal is expensive but you can find deals on used stuff to make things out of, heck I made an awning for my back porch for $12 and it's 4'x14'... sure it took me time to clean up the used metal but that's part of the challenge...

I'm better with metal than wood, but I have a big stash of 1x6's from radiator pallets from work, I'm getting better with wood, I picked up a 12" table saw for $15 not too long ago, need to clean that up and it should open things up some...
We put everything on wheels. I've become quite caster afficianado. My power comes from a spider box that my 110 and 220v comes out of that's powered by giant twist lock. Runs the miller 252 no problem.

I have about 6 months of doing anything to either of my trucks... except shop and spend money on stuff for them.

Really looking forward to getting back at it.
And if you begin to miss it, you can always come over here. As you know I'm already up to my elbows in alligators, unnecessary sensors, and bad wiring diagrams.

I have an old mill and a lathe at work that do ok some other stuff.

I have no room in my garage for more stuff. I need to build some more sheds or whatever to use for storage so I can have more working space in the garage.

I would like a drill press next, direct drive would be awesome, but I don’t have space to even a small one so it will have to wait.

Judging by my parts pile... I'm probably not going to run out of things to do for awhile.

I wish I had a bigger garage too.

Me too. And now I have too many sheds. I have a small and big drill press. When the mill is up and running, it will replace my big drill press. Needs a good cleanup before I start milling/drilling with it. It's currently stuffed with bikes too.

Now that's exactly the kind of stuff that gets me in trouble! I'm the kind of a guy who can't go without owning a boat.

Nice Segway doooooooooooood

I wish I had a tubing bender, and a band saw, or maybe a cold saw.

Metal is expensive. :(
I have a porta-band and a tubing bender with a180* 1-5/8” die and a 90* 2-1/2” die. I’ll invest more in die’s as needed. The smaller die is for building the rest of the roll cage for the choptop and whatever else I want. I got the JD Squared model 32 and got it set up for an air/hydraulic setup.

Metal has gotten quite expensive.

I forgot the segway was there. I roll the trash cans out with it.

The wife keeps making me order dump truck loads of stuff to pile behind my damn Bronco... this week it was two yards of hardwood mulch.

I almost bought a Hydraulic press a few months ago. Was this close👌. Didn't want one with a bottle jack, I wanted one that had a real cylinder with a pump. Decided I needed a tractor more. Still could use one.

The one thing I have that has been way more useful then I thought it would be is a 24" eastwood pan brake. The only issue I have is it's designed for no more then about 20ga material, so you can't really get the fingers aligned on heaver stuff. It will bend 16ga fine, which is what I normally use it for.

I use my angle grinder and a rubber or brass hammer to bend thicker sheet metal. clamp down a straight edge, score it with cut off wheel, flip over clamp again on a square edged bench, and hammer away. its not as pretty, but works.
