I've got a really good friend in Switzerland that bought himself an Aston Martin DB9 for his fortieth birthday - for like $400K:shok: It is super cool - I'd never seen suede leather headliners before. It's like a freaking race car driving it - V-12 and all. He hates it though. It sits in his garage next to his BMW 540i (gangster car), his 911 cabriolet and his Ducatti. I wish I had his kind of money for those kind of toys.

a lamborghini came into my shop about 5 years ago with a blown head gasket, i got it up on the lift, took one look at it and said to the customer "oh, so this is a kit lambo that you built yourself huh?" and he opened the glove box and not only pulled out the title, but the certificate of origination...........they're bigger pieces of crap, and built more poorly than a dodge viper.

and come to find out in my search for a head gasket the motors are left-over DeLorean V6's that lamborghini bought the surplus of and put into their cars

I saw this Lamborghini at the Kiski Car Show, it's very nice car, but just the ugliest body style IMO.

We used to have a slot car track with Lamborgini cars like that. If could have afforded it at the time I would have gotten a different car... nothing really wrong with them but they are hard to relate to.

A local dealership has a newer GT, it isn't really good for much but racing. Car is freaking tiny, tires are outragously priced and are shortlived, rides like crap, hard to get in/out of.

If some gave me a car in that class, sure I would take it... and I would sell it just as quick as I could.

I have owned a few of those. Rattly pieces of crap. No balls, leaky roofs and the floor will disintegrate from ANY amount of salt. Even a few McDonalds french fries dropped on the floor will result in a hole.

I know a couple people that have them, they seem pretty happy with them. A RWD car is helpless around here in winter, so like 98% of RWD cars they spend the winter inside.

They have no close rival in numbers at the local eighth mile track, very common for racing. If they are slow it is because the owner wants them to be... otherwise the sky is the limit. Not much out of the 80's was all that hot in stock form.

Personally I would prefer the style one click older than than that.

I am talking stock. I can make a Civic go fast.

I never understood how the engine stayed cool, those the vents on the hood are fake and thers no front grill.. the same with several of the Trans Am and other years of camaro.

As for the lamborgini theres a couple dealerships around here that sell those my dad knew the owner of mershons in springfield, Oh. He had a red one I got to take several pics of it and got to ride around the block when I was 12.

oddly enough I belive this is the one that went on auction then was pulled of the block because it wasn't selling high enough it was going for 6.5 million and the owners wanted no less than 10 million. One of the owners was the owner of mershons. It later sold for 7 million I belive.
Nope not the same car(above pic) but here is the story:
