I ate a curb today

I hit a curb with my Tempo...the parking lot was full of snow and there was ice under it...big problem was I had the wheels cranked so when I hit it bent the wheel inward just enough to need to replace a few parts...and because I drove it for a few days without realizing the alignment was out of whack I also had to replace both front tires that were almost new...

I've since learned to be extremely careful in parking areas...

The rim that is worst off, the other is bent but you can't tell without it being on the balancer

wow i guess i got off easy. Last year i had a big run-in with a curb. I was going down the road at about 50 looking for a resturant to meet some friends. I saw it last minute, not really thing i just slammed on the brakes and skid into the pull in. but ended up slaming into the curb( sideways 25-30 mph)the edge if the rim was scraped up. but no serious damage.

then again this was in my ranger( so no surprise that it can take a beating)
