Hydrualic clutch question

I have a 1983 Ranger with a leaky slave cylinder. My repair manual says I must replace the whole hydrualic clutch system (resevoir, master and slave cylinders, pre-bleed from factory) as a unit for the 1983-84 Rangers. Is this correct? I have removed the system and see no disconnects for the line from master to slave. Thanks- Chris

My all data pro software says that's the way it is as well unfortunately :-(
BUT you can apperantly purchase a seperate slave cylinder from Rock auto ?

Yes- I can buy the slave cylinder from just about any parts store. I read on another post where i may have to take the fitting out by tapping out the spring pin holding the original fitting and hose in place, and use those in the new slave cylinder. I'm gonna go by and see if a new cylinder has a bleed screw on it- the original does not. Thats the only way I figure it can be bleed. Let ya know what i find out. Thanks

it bleeds through the master cylinder to the reservoir.
and you can take the hose off either end.
bench bleed it before you put it in.
