Ok. As of now i have a "hay bail spike pump" for the rear steer of my BII. I like it, it works great,,,,, but it NOISY ! ! ! It gets anoying after a full day of wheeling.

Here is what i want to do. Get another power steering pump, and buy a electric over hyraulic valve and use my electric joystick i allready have.

I have NO IDEA what valve to buy. Normaly open, normaly closed.?.?
Can i use the valve thats on my pump now, just unbolt the valve off the setup or what?

Here is the style of pump i have now.

That looks like it will work, you have picked what looks like a 3 way valve, which is what's needed for your app...

SVT

3 way? I guess center is "1way" ?
I get two, left and right, but whats the third?
Sorry i am dumb on hyd..

Center position is one position, second position or direction, and a third position/direction. If you had a 2 way valve, you would not have a center(no flow) position, just two different outputs...

No problem, glad I could help. Question, how high did the rocks put your frame/body? I'm definitely thinking of going this route since I'm on 47's now...

SVT

I will measure it out.
If i knew then what i know now....... Lol
I would have set the engine/trans/tcase up 3-4 inches so i coulda had more clearance tween oilpan and top of my rockwell.
I do wish my rig set 2-3 inches lower. It works great, but you know how it goes, never good enough.

Did you narrow your rocks, or did you leave them fw? What's your Wms, and his was your turning radius before you went rear steer? What's your offset? I know I've got a few questions, but i'dlike to build it from other's experiences so I don't have to build it over and over again. I do know I'm building a new frame for the rocks tho, and plan to get the engine as high as I can for clearance like you suggest, but I'm also going wider with my frame by about 2 inches or so(just inside the body mounts) so i can gain exhaust and Tcase clearance...

Ok. I will try to get all your questions answered. If i miss one, let me know.
My Rocks are full width.
8in wheels with weld on beadlock +1in makes em about 9in. With a 10" wheel and weld on beadlock a 44" measures about 41". With my 8in wheel, my wore out 44 measures 44!

My turning rad wasnt bad with the straight rear. I always ran it in front wheel drive so it would turn better.

WMS is about 79" outside tire to outside tire is 8' 1".

Here is my offset.

Here is the frame height. I changed rear springs and now its sitting about 4" lower in the rear. Im gonna lift the rear back up tomorow.

Exhaust and transfer case clearance would be soooooo nice. I HATE my exhaust, but it works.
