Hwy driving and fuel economy...

4.10s are not a good gear ratio for highway driving you will run higher rpms with them that would explain your poor gasmileage i had a yota with 5.29s and 35s and i got about 25 on the highway but those motors lived in the high rpm range. but just watch your rpms i am going with that

No, 4.10's don't explain anything. That's WELL within the reasonable range of gearing for stock tires.

with the 4.2 i had in my old ford they killed my mileage im just going by what has happend to me

Well, my RPMs are usually under 2500 so I don't think that is too high.

But I'll probably clean my TB and injectors just to be sure that they're clean. If that fails to clear things up, I'll let the dealership check for codes. Thanks again guys!

If you have a floor jack, just jack up one wheel at a time and give it a spin by hand. The wheel should move easily, don't expect it to spin all around on it's own but if takes a lot of effort or you hear horrible grinding sounds then I would think further investigation is needed. If a front wheel is dragging you would most certainly notice that because the truck will pull to one side or another but a dragging back wheel wont have that effect. Another easy test, after driving around town for awhile, once the truck is parked feel for the hub temp. If a brake is dragging, the friction will make the hub supper hot so be careful. A friend had faulty brake caliper one time, after 10 minutes at highway speeds the brake pads were smok'in....

You can pull the codes your self for free if you go to a local auto parts store. I don't know if you have a Schucks in your area, but that's where I do it. My ford dealership charges for code pulling.

The 70-75mph and bigger wheels and wheel/tire combo might be part of it but I still think its low even for that. If its a 2007 with so little miles it could be in need of a good tune up and maybe a fluid change. I got better mileage in my old f150 with a 300 six and auto. Good luck!

I have a 91 Ranger 3.0 5sp with 123k miles on it and It doesn't matter how I drive it and I consistantly get 18mpg.

I would have the dealer check it out, it does not seem right. I get about 500mi out of a tank of gas with 100% highway driving @ 60mph.
