Well as the title says, I have a bit of a problem. Just fixed this laptop and now I have a netbook size desktop along with three other ones but the other three ar partial sized and not all th way on the screen. I hav adjusted the rsolution, did nothing and tried to adjust the aspect ration and still nothing. Desktop looks fine when hooked up to an external monitor but still have the problem even when hooke up/unhooked form an external monitor. I updated the driver for it and still nothing. I know that this is probably a simple fix but I cant figur it out. If it helps I have an hp dv6500 with a 15.4 inch screen now running Windows 7 Ultimate. As for if it worked properly when I had vista on it im not dure due to I had to put a complete new top part on it when I got it for free from a buddy so it has always been hooked up to an extrnal monitor until today.

Heres a picture of me doing the write up for this. That is my full screen and you can see what im talking about having th size issue with my desktop.

Download and install (or re-install) the manufacturer's Video driver.

I updated it and that did work but I will try that and see what it does. Worse comes to worse, take it to a computer storee and let them deal with it despite how much it costs. I have family that works at a computer store that fixes this so may tru to contact him and see if he can help out.
