How to sell my AK-74

I had the same concerns, and I took my HK91 to a gun show and sold mine right there. Local gun shows are fairly common and often, about every 6-8 weeks it seems. You don't have to have a license to sell. I just paid a small table fee and split it with a buddy of mine that also had some guns to sell. We both came home happy and loaded with cash instead of guns. You are supposed to collect tax, but that is up to you. There are several currently in KY (I don't know how close LaFayette is)

The other options are GunsAmerica.com which you need a FFL. I'm not fond of FFLs. Some are good and some are bad. I had a FFL dealer hold my delivered gun "hostage" and wouldn't give it to me until I told him some proprietary molding information. You might get lucky finding a decent FFL and maybe not.

I'm not familiar with full auto restrictions to know if you can post it on gunsamerica or not.

Lastly, many local gun shops will buy it from you but they will only give you 50% of the value.

My dad works with allot of guys that would buy it off me for what i want, just got told that by him. It will be a few weeks before i have a definite answer.

I still have my shot gun and i will never give it up.

Thought i found a guy to buy everything but he couldn't due to his daughters birthday is coming next week. If i had got to him a week sooner i would have been good.

Didn't think it would be so hard to sell a gun that has allot of extras. I'm not able to ship the gun unless the recieving person has a FFL.

I think anything that is considered an "assault rifle" has to be registered in PA. I don't have the money for an AK anyway.

There is no gun registration in Pennsylvania.... yet.

A Semi-suto AK is legally no different from any other longarm in Pennsylvania.

Pennsylvania has never had an "assault weapon" law.

I dunno, I know my one buddy as an AK, and SK, and and AR, and I thought he had to jump through some hoops other than the waiting period.

The original guy asked if i could hold on to it for a few weeks and he will by it so hopefully sell it to him.
