How to program Keyless Entry (Keypad above door handle)

Today I bought my 3rd Ranger, a 2004 supercab 4x4 FX4. this is my first that has keyless entry. Not Remote entry. The type with the little keypad above the door handle. I looked through all the manuals and it says nothing on how to program it. Anybody know how?

Are you trying to put in a new number or trying to get the old one out?

Gotta take it to the dealership, they will retrieve the keyless entry code with their scanner.

I had a lincoln continental back in 91 that had the code on a label somewhere the car that cant be accessed from outside (Mine was on the truck arm) But it cant be reprogrammed I dont believe.

No it can't be, but as I said the dealership will retreive it with their scanner.

My F-150 has a keyless entry code on a card in the owners manual... I think that is what it is for but since I don't have it I can't check.
