ok, this happened before I got the truck and I'm trying to figure out exactly how and what is bent??

the bumper hangs down at the back corners and its eating me up looking at it like that.

I dont see a bend or hit mark in the bumper per say so I'm thinking the brackets took the brunt of the impact.

you think I can just grab some brackets from the u-pull and be done with it or do you think I need a bumper as well??

i have the same problem let me know how u fix it .. i was just thinkin about puttin a jack under it and lifting the sucker thinkin it might work not sure let me know what u figure out

Like Koda said - check the bumper bracket bolts - loosen, adjust bumper to position, and then tighten - they can be a pain to get to though. Good Luck

post up a pic from the front.... thats how mine looked afted it met a poll it twisted it instead of denting it........

Don't know about any other year but on a 98 you loosen the four small bolts that are on the bumper bracket where it attaches to the frame rail.(Two on each side) Think they are 10 MM. Move the bumper to where you want it and tighten them back up.
