Got a 2001 4wd supercab and am getting the notorious clunk on acceleration. Trying to figure out how hard it is to do yourself, where to get the kit and how much. Does the kit come with the keystone clamp installer? This is TSB 04-23-7. Thanks for any help!

go to ford and get a tube of PTFE lube, take the drive shaft apart, clean the old grease out and lube it up with the new stuff. You can use a pair of side cutters or bullnose snips to install the clamp.

Is the kit any different or is this tube the entire kit that they list? How much?

I'm a ford tech, i'm not sure what it actually costs as it is just charged out to a work order and waiting for me at the parts counter when I need it. I don't think its a 'kit'. You would have to buy the lube and the 2 clamps.
