How important is replacing your radiator cap at coolant change?

i flushed my alternator, then it stopped working and i had to buy a new one, guess i shoulda changed the filter too

Come on 88, you know you are NEVER EVER supposed to flush the alternator without changing the filter. And you better replace the gasket when you pop the cover.

i know, i know, you stop paying attention for one second and somebody gets hurt

Come on now, this is Ford's design. Not that GM design where they had the alternator cooled by engine coolant.

:bling::icon_cheers:Ya for the search engine.
