how hard is it to change a t-case?

from 1 being changing a tire, to 10 being rebuilding the whole suspension, im planning to do this on friday, any advice is gladly welcome and will be used.

4 driveline bolts, 5 t-case bolts ( can't take bottom bolt out unless you remove tranny mount, I just leave it in you can still unthread it and pull the case) and the one bolt holding the speedo cable and one wire plug too. my advice: DRAIN IT FIRST! Ha ha

Don't forget the four little bolts that hold the front driveshaft to the flange on the 1990-up 13-54 transfer case.

They have 5/16" 12-point heads on them

You SHOULD be able to get them out with a 5/16" or 8mm Combination wrench.

THE HARDEST PART of pulling a transfer case is usually getting the REAR driveshaft off

But depending on which style of transmission crossmember you have that part can be a bastard too.

Don't forget those PITA alignment pins that are probably corroded stuck!
