Hello, I bought my truck, BUT it does not have power steering. I think they rebuilt the engine and left it out. At least the engine runs GREAT.

So I was wondering how hard it would be to go get the power steering system from another 2.3L and put it on mine?

On a scale of 1-10 how hard do you think it will be?

Thanks in Advance.....

By the way, Is there a way to make the steering a little easier without the system.
I don't know may be putting wd40 somewhere. Would that even work?

It's pretty easy..... you need the power steering pump, idler pulley and brackets, lines and steering box from an 89-92 ranger.... since your truck doesn't have power steering, when you get the hoses, it will probably have a switch that is in the pressure line. That switch raises the RPM just a little bit when you turn the wheel back and forth, but you don't really need it..... I got all my stuff out of a wrecking yard for about $80..... I replaced both hoses for about $25 and it works great!!!! Oh yeah, and don't forget to buy a new belt!!!!
