How Do You Wash Your Truck?

Easy way to get the undercarriage cleaned is to slide a lawn sprinkler under the truck to loosen up the dried mud, washes away most of it and softens whats left then it doesnt take much effort to get the rest.

hmm, good idea

.

one section at a time in the shade, wet with hose, wash, rinse, Repeat if necessary and than move to the next section.

the truck only gets washed probably three four times a year..

when i do i go all out.. i look at it this way do i wanna spend more time using the truck and maintaining it or do i spend all my free time washing it for one speck of dirt.

Rain?Rinse with Garden Hose? Occasional trip to spray it off at the car wash? These count as washing? Lol :
That's the way I do it with the trucks. I can take it down to the quarter car wash but coming home on the town road, find that some farmer with a leaky manure spreader has just gone down the road. Truck sits out so any dew from the night collects the dust from them plowing or picking. Had one guy at a Mustang site ask awhile back what people use when waxing their shocks and struts. Thought that was just a bit over board.

Waaaaiiiit one minute here......you can wash them things????

It also works with coca cola and aluminum foil... I tried it. Mythbusters told me too. And it really does work.

The way the theory was explained to me is that the aluminum is harder than the rust, but softer than the chrome. So it's scratches one but not the other.

If that's the correct explanation, I do not know. I just know it works. :icon_thumby:

Mother nature has been washing mine off and on for about the last two weeks, and its been about two months since it last saw a car wash, and three years since the last wax job. lol:D

Wow looks like I'm the exact opposite of most of you. I've been itching to wax my truck again. It's overdue for one by my standards, and the last wax was a little over a month ago.

The only time my truck has had wax on it was when a candle dripped on my truck!

My truck doesn't need wax. The paint still looks good by my standards!

You do it every month? WHAT!?! I do it about every 1 - 2 weeks with my new truck. then again it gets dirty just sitting in one spot...:annoyed:

For me I have a local place that will hand wash and hand dry vehicals and they wash my ranger once a week and mother nature washes the bronco 2 when she decides to
