Simple question, how do you email someone a video file? Gmail only lets you send like 10mb and the file is 400mb? Is there another free email service that lets you send larger files? Or another way to do it?

There are a lot of backdoor ways. I tend to park the file in Google Drive and share a link to it, but there are plenty of good alternatives.

I have googe drive on my phone, never used it or knew what the heck it was for though... I don't like the idea of sharing a link though because I'm sending the file to someone I don't really know and don't want them to have any of my actual personal info so wouldn't a link show them my account?

You can share the individual file and just send them a link to that specifically. They won't see anything else.

K cool let me sees how this here Google drive gizmo works...

If they only need to be able to watch it, but not necessarily download a copy to their computer, just post it on YouTube and give them the link to view it there. You can set privacy levels for the video on YouTube so that only the person you share the link with can view it.

I didn't even see the part about it being a video file. Yeah - Youtube is another option for just sharing an unlisted video link.

Drop Box is another option

They need to be able to download it. Going to an insurance company for an accident.

In that case, definitely one of the file sharing options like Dropbox, Google Drive, One Drive, etc.

Google drive seemed to work. :dunno:

Set it to view by "anyone with a link" and when I clicked the link it let me view and download the file so I emailed them the link.

@Dirtman , I know this is a different topic, but...

I heard from brother that New Jersey got hit with a lot of tornados and other storm problems this week. Has anyone checked your property for you? Everything ok?

Yea my place is good. I cut down any trees that could hit my house or barns long ago and I'm no where near flood areas. My dad went over last night before the storm and again this morning and all is well. Their pool overflowed and the backyard is a swamp though. They said my dog is having a ball swimming in the yard. :icon_rofl:
