I need to try that. I thought you were just using the "screen mirror" function to show your phone display on the tv.

When this was an issue for my household, I did essentially the same thing. On my phone, I would simply block his xBox for all the household hubs. The saddest human on Earth

Displays your phone screen on the tv. Internet surfing, watching videos, etc. whatever you do in your phone is displayed the same way in the tv.

If you run youtube through your phone browser with adblock, that should fix the issue. You don't want to use the youtube app itself or you'll get all the ads and whatever else youtube wants to feed you.

Alternatively, get youtube red. That is a subscription but it gets rid of the advertisements.

I prefer to use my computer since it has a decently sized screen. Youtube through the tv is too clunky for my taste, via phone or directly through the tv.

Its also from 2017 so maybe it dont have it
