Hi guys,

This is my first project car ever and I’m coming from virtually zero knowledge.

I’m wondering where I should attach this hose that is coming from the air cleaner box. It’s too short to attach to anything nearby so I’m thinking it was shortened for some reason? After doing some research I’m wondering if this is the thermostatic air cleaner hose that attaches on the nipple underneath the intake manifold? If that’s the case is there anything I should know about maintaining this type of hose or preparation for when I attach it? Or am I completely off on what the purpose of this hose is lol! I’d greatly appreciate it someone could tell me their 2 cents.

thanks guys!

I believe that is a drain for the air cleaner box in case you drive it in too deep of water.

I've never seen that before...
