Hopman's '94 Ranger.

any new plans for the eggplant?

I'd love to turbo the engine and put a new set of wheels on it, but for now I just need to get it fixed to pass NH inspection. If money allows, I might have a pro do the exterior detailing. Maybe upgrade the seat. Maybe throw some striping on the truck the same color as the cap. Maybe a TRS decal. Nothing fancy.

For my needs right now, the truck fits the bill perfectly. After close to three years of owning it, I'm still happy I bought it. Call me crazy, but I learn to be happy with what I have. My truck's for driving.

Not many people understand being thankful like that any more Hopman. I love my truck too, its paid for and running, cant beat that.

That's the way my parents raised me, and if and when I have kids of my own, that is how I will raise them.

She's a good little truck. It ain't fancy, but she's gotten me everywhere I have needed to get to. Be in the darkest night at -15 degrees or in blazing heat fully loaded, she has treated me well.

In a way she's like the mutt you keep around. The thing ain't much to look at, but she's faithful and dependable.

Yep. I fixed her up yesterday. The flange on the cat was rotted off, so with a bit of scarp metal, my dad made up something that'll work out of some angle iron sitting around our friend's shop.

The floor was another story. I patched it up enough to pass NH inspection, but by next year, I need to have the entire driver's side floor replaced to the seat mount.

The JOYS of living in the RUST belt!!!

this is what i love about TRS.
a wide variety of people getting along.
the hardcore crawlers/ wheeling machine builders, the ones that rather spend on the truck than themselves(me lol) and the owners that are proud of their stock trucks and just require the ocassional fix to keep em on the road.

I'll toast that....:icon_cheers:

Same here. It's the love of the Ranger & it's cousins (Explorer and B2) that binds us together, despite being hundreds and thousands on miles apart.

I definitly fall into the catagory of "putting enough money in to keep it on the road." Who wants to come up to NH and show me how to replace a floor pan in my truck??? I can buy the beer and cook dinner. In exchange, you get to see my "Flying Eggplant," and help keep her running for many years to come!

You guys ever been to New Hampshire? The wheeling ain't the best, but I'll take you down back roads at speeds that'll make a crotch rocket rider skittish! :yahoo:

then someone could come here and help me swap axles or do a body lift. i wont cook, but ill keep u alive lmao
