Hollow pushrods?

I'm about to pull the valve covers off my ranger in a few days and replace the pushrods and rebuild the rocker arm ball sockets, and I have noticed that the picture of the push rod in the "4.0L Rebuild" in the TECH Library looks as if there is a hole in the top of the ball of the pushrod.
Is this really a hole or are they just worn that bad? If so does it pass all the way through the rod or is it just a shallow hole to collect oil.

I picked up some pushrods tonight and noticed they are one piece and don't have the hole or oil galley if that is what it is.

Plus does anyone have the Jig thats used for the Silver Seal press in cup sockets for rebuilding the rocker arms that they could get some measurements off of?

Mine are solid too

I have a '97 4.0 engine and noticed mine are solid too. This is my first Ford, all of my Chevy engines had hollow pushrods so I don't know why Ford did this. It would seem the wear would be much worse without oil lubrication at the pushrod/rocker arm pivot point.
