The PhD level is to mark them in order you take stuff apart. baggie 1, baggie 2, etc.

Some things don't have to go back together in the same order. The little notes in my baggies say "oil pan", "valve covers", "timing cover", "water pump", etc.

I just figure if it goes togther and you got fastners left you just did better then the engineers

I use zip lock bags when I’m taking something significant apart. Like doing a timing job or something.

Washing machine, screws go in an ash tray or jelly jar and I guess what holes they came from.
