High Rider (I think)

So bobbed bed or flat bed I cant decided.

that looks like a hirider bracket to me:dunno:

even the passenger pivot.

whats the driver beam pivot look like from the side??

Ill try to get a pic of it but it has all the other options a high rider had even the bigger sway bar so I think it is

My new donner viechel. Has anyone ever heard of putting a 400M in a ranger?

unless that thing is a hopelessly rotted out pos.... i can not approve of cutting that wonderful 150 up.

you can make the 400 fit....its about the same size as my 6.5.

The bed floor is rusted out pretty bad but other then that its in pretty decent shape. I was half joking about th 400 I really got it for the axles. It ran me $450 and I drove it home, its acting as my DD for now so well see what gets cut up

:shok:

:bawling:

i have this urge to club you like a baby seal for some reason:icon_confused:

but alas, this is the way things be.

i think i can can come up with a way to get some axles before i chop up a near perfect f150, those are getting real scarce! nnot to mention the fact it has a 400m and it only cost 450$ ,AND IT RUNS! haha just thinking of the future builds!

I thought about trying to restore it but money is always an issue and its taking me so long to finish the ranger if I start another build I might never finish. One question though, you mention the 400m like it was a good thing best I can come up with is it drings gas like a 460 weights just a little less but doesn't come near the power. Whats good about it

The 400M was one of Ford's "better ideas" that didn't live up to the concept. They were loaded up with the emissions of the day, had thin wall castings (.040 overbore limit) and were known to go through main bearings and leak oil. The idea had been to make big block type power with small block mileage, but it ended up backwards, big block mileage with small block power. Even so they can be torque monsters without the emissions crap.

Ill have to look into that, mine only has 64,000 miles on it and is in great shape.

I wouldn't cut the 150 up, it's too good, just needs a little TLC, but you can always go around junk yards for most parts.
