How do I go about changing the high beam indicator bulb on my dash? I just got this 93 Ranger and wonder how to get to the bulb, I don't even know where it is located on the instrument cluster. Does the trim piece just pop out? Thanks if anybody can help.

Well from my experience, and mind you mine is a 2000 so it might be different. I had to first remove the bezel that holds the radio / heater panel. Then, there are 3 small screws above the gauges that need to be removed so you can pry off the whole dash panel. Once you have the panel off, you should see some screws holding the actual gauge cluster, remove them and any cables that are connected such as the power and shift indicator. Once that is done you should be able to pull out the gauges. The lights are on the back and 1/2 turn should pop them out. Replace the one that is dead. Again, just from my experience. Someone with that year truck might help you better.

Most modern vehicles have a bezel you have to remove, and then the instrument cluster can be unscrewed. With a 1993, you'll have to disconnect the speedometer cable from the back, pull the cluster as far out as it will go, then disconnect the two electrical cables.

This works for replacing ALL instrument cluster bulbs.

And all this stuff is in the Haynes book.
