Hi folks! I've been working on Rangers and Bronco IIs since I could turn a wrench, my latest project being a 4.0 swap in my 88 bronco II. My next project will be a 4x4 conversion on a 92 ranger I purchased recently (well hopefully). Ive used the info on this site for a long arse time and I guess its time I joined the gang.

I love the 4.0 and would do it again anytime. I got the bronco off a friend for $200 and ended up with the exploder in a trade off another vehicle. The 2.9 was on its last legs and felt like a 4 cyl on hills. I didn't opt for swapping the trans though the mazda had too much slop in it. Everything was pretty easy except for the wiring, but ive seen worse. Ive got pics of the swap somewhere I would have to chase them down.
