Names Matt! Newer owner of a 1988 STD cab ranger, 2.0 4 cylinder 5 speed. Found it in grass higher than the truck, full of hay, and waiting in water. Did a few things, got the motor running(bad fuel pump), about to replace the transmission Shell be on the road soon enough!

Are you from Canada by any chance? I thought the 88 2.0 was only available in Canada...

Anyway, nice project truck...mine had the 2.0 when I got it, but I've swapped it out for a rebuild 2.3...so your pics brought back memories (more, actually, like nightmares...lol)...

How's the firewall? You might want to check it over because that was where my first cab rotted out...and the A pillars (you may be able to see rust near the bottom front of the door frame...

The good news is...with enough time, money and ambition...we can work the rest of our lives to keep our trucks alive...
