hi flow cat

what does a after market hi flow cat really do for a truck. help with emissions make i tlouder or cleaner? any info.? anyone got one

As the name implies, the hi-flow cats are supposed
to be less restrictive. I doubt if they would help
enough to make a change worthwhile, if your stock
cat is still good.......

they just make the truck louder. i didnt want to buy a brand new stock replacement cat for my project ranger, so i got a magnaflow hi-flow cat an magnaflow muffler an it super loud now, sounds nice but loud. so just be ready that it makes it louder with likely no performance inprovement.

Thanks guys. i seem to get dogged on sometimes for talking about taking stock parts off my truck for after market, especially exhaust, but i gonna consider a after market cat
