hello everyone whats up. im charlie from alaska. notthn gets me more pumped than kickn some rice burner ass, then kickn it into four wheel drive and thrown mud on him. i have big plans for my ranger and with my re-enlistment bonus coming up i should be able to do them. i have a history of workn on cars, i worked in a small tire and repair shop in my hometown. im used to workn on big v-8s and 22rs but i understand the concept of upgradin the whole vehicle. mt plans are to boost the truck and some other upgrades to let the engine rev higher and handle th eextra 150 to 200 hp im gonna be makn

yeah great to be here. looks of rangers in alaska, most pf them are 4.0s. i was told that the 3.0 is crap, im out to prove them wrong. first question, what would cause my 4x4 to go on and off? the switch is in 4 high but it still does it

the 3.0 is a good motor.

AllenD said it best--> "if you can actually kill a 3.0 that has oil and coolant in it, then you should not be allowed to operate anything more complicated than a refridgerator."

haha i know i run the shit outa mine, harder than any truck should be drivn, and the ranger 3.0 is the only truck that hasnt givn me an bit of trouble. just so u can guage how hard i drive, last year i bougth a 2000 dodge dakota and withn a year i had blown most of the seals on the motor, blew the tranny case apart, killed the steering, and somehow lost most of the exhaust off road
