hey new guy here, question with 4wd

hey guys, first time poster, i have a 99 ranger sport with auto locking 4x4. its a standard, and im having trouble with the 4x4. the transfer case engages, but the hubs do not. are the hubs vacum? or electric? any help would be appreciated.

the hubs run off of vaccume, and on mine there is a solenoid that busted once on the pass side. I myself have not tinkered with it but i know that you should check your vaccume hoses for cracks first. Somtimes it can be that simple

the hubs are indeed Vacuum. the control box behind the rf headlights below the air intake box.
I put the avm hubs on my ranger. Best $100 I ever spent on my '99 4L, and very easy.
