Okay so I'm picking up the new 93 2.3 xlt today and I think here's what I'm gonna do in the first week:
1) TC zip tie mod
2) remove baffle
3) (K&N) filter
4) start the hunt for an 8.8 with 4.56 ratio and throw it in when I get the 31's.

Is there anything go about differently? I appreciate the help!

1.) Don't bother with a K&N, all it does is lighten your wallet and allow more dirt into your engine...
2.) Good luck finding a 4.56 8.8"... Although you can find an 8.8" from an Exploder with 4.10 ratio...

Well I can also get the 8.8 and new r&p can't I? And is there another filter I should get? I need a new one

If you want 4.56's you can get any ratio 8.8" (I don't believe there is a carrier break, do your own research on that one) and swap in 4.56's...
For the filter go to your favorite local auto parts store, look up the part number for a filter, and get whatever pops up... They're like $5-$10...

Yeah, save up your money and get a Turbo...the gears will probably help quite a bit and will make the turbo that much more awesome...but get a premium membership and your sticker will add 20 HP...lol!

Other than that...you might want to drive it for a while and hopefully you won't need to make any other repairs in the mean time...they're great motors and the 93 and up seem to stand up quite well...

just so you know, the 31's rubbed quite a bit on my 94 when steering wheel was locked either way.

On the wells or fenders
