2.5L ('98-'01) Help

For checking injectors while it’s running, use a long extension or screwdriver to touch each injector, you should hear a quick, sharp tick-tick-tick…
Haven't checked the pressure yet but if we have to do the injectors my truck won't keep running it dies every time.... So how can I test them then?

If you went and bought a dpfe sensor why would you be concerned about your injectors? Odds are there is only one problem, while it could be the injectors, you should have already diagnosed the problem, and know which one it is. Otherwise your just throwing parts at something you don’t understand and you will spend more money then if you went to a mechanic. To give it to you plain and simple, spend the extra buck and go to a mechanic if you can’t figure out the problem, if you are comfortable diagnosing, then you can try it yourself. I’m not trying to be mean, I’m trying to give you my thoughts and not beat around the bush.

One step at a time. The other way to test injectors is to pull them out and bench test. I don’t think that’s necessary yet.

Don’t get overwhelmed. Take a breath. Work through it. You need to check your fuel pressure since you’re suspecting it’s not right. You also need to investigate the DPFE thing. If you have proper fuel pressure and get the DPFE thing worked out, unless something else is going on, it should run enough to verify the injectors are firing.
