I've tried looking for the torsion bars under my truck but have been unsuccessful in locating them or any key that might be there. Maybe i'm just looking in the wrong spot or saw it but didn't recognise it? The image on mudranger's post about it was not helpful. can anyone help me out? thanks.

Look for a bar going from your front axle, just inside the brakes, to your frame underneath the front edge of your door.

Adjuster bolt (crank it up here):

Be sure you go the exact same # of turns on each side.

So tighten the bolt in the center?

yep, use a breaker bar and tighten that thing. Do each side 5 revolutins and drive arround hte block and re measure. Keep adjusting them until both sides are lifted to the amount u want.

I guess it'll stop turning when it's at it's full lift potential?

Yes, but that doesn't mean you want to go that far. I wold advise you not to go more than 2" up from stock. Any higher than that and there is just too much trouble to be had (cv's etc)....

i'm thinking about cranking up the t-bars and i know it will stiffen the ride in the front but is there anything i can do to help that? Better shocks maybe? Will that effect anythin?

When I did mine I didn't turn both bolts the same amount. I had to turn the driver's side one quite a bit more to make the pickup sit level. I took a lot of measurements to make sure.

I'm not seeing anything like that on my truck.

Yeah. It's too old to have them isn't it? I thought with members with older trucks having them that it would...?

If you have coil springs in the front you don't have torsion bars.
