Help with front discs!

Ok, I was due for new pads and rotors so I replaced them. Everything seemed fine but once I stopped after driving my drivers side brakes smoked like a mofo and the wheel was impossible to turn while jacked up. I thought it was a stuck caliper (still think that was part of the problem since it put up sooo much resistance to compress) so today i replaced the caliper, now when I tighten my lugs down the wheel is still impossible to turn by hand (but ONLY once the lugs are tight). I am out of ideas, I tried another rotor thinking I warped it already from the stuck caliper, but no dice. ANY help would be GREATLY appreciated, otherwise come morning she is going to the shop

Try bleeding the brakes again. If they are not properly bled, an air bubble will cause the brakes to stick.

Thanks for the response guys. I bled them without a problem, but I will be sure and try it. Would this still cause the brakes to bind only when the lugs are tight? because even with the caliper all the way compressed the issue is still present, but only with the lugs tight.

Try not to over analyze, one thing at a time starting with the easiest things first. In other words, don't start to look deep until the simple things have been tried. Ie. check to see if the caliper is fully compressed, bleeding brakes, or the pad hasn't shifted. After that dig deeper.

Alright I brought it in today, stuck caliper pin. Guess I should have replaced that with the caliper. Oh well cheap fix, thanks for the ideas tho guys

an air bubble will NOT cause the brakes to stick.

It prevents you from applying the brakes, because air
is compressable brake fluid is not.

I have a recent experience with brakes not retracting from air in the line. The only thing that I did at all was bleed the brakes to alleviate the sticking. I even did this with the wheel on, so I have no other explanation. I do however understand the theory of how brakes work, but thanks for the lesson.

If you would like to discount somone's thoughts, else at least put a more plausible explanation to the problem. Do you always tell people "you are wrong, but I have no idea what it is."?
