I was driving home from school today, but then, as I got to a stop sign, and break, it stopped the whole truck instantly and did not let me roll forward until I put it into reverse, then moved it forward, until I hit the brakes again, and it locked the whole thing up again, it does the same thing in neutral, first gear, second gear, and drive. When I put it into reverse gear, the brakes just work normally. can somebody help me with this?

You need to inspect your rear brakes.

I'm gonna guess your have a leaky axle seal... or a wheel cylinder leaking.

Contaminated drum brake linings get sticky and can lock up.

It could also be your parking brake.

If it was a sticky front caliper... those just stick and don't necessarily free up in reverse.

Probably something broken in the rear drums

I'm with them, a spring probably rusted out or something...

What would be the best way to diagnosis?

Pull the rear wheels off and take the drums off and look inside to see whats messed up.

Take a pic if you need help and we can tell you what you are looking at and whats wrong

As others have mentioned, most of likely the rear most brake shoe isn't attached anymore and gets locked up going forward and dislodges itself going backwards.
