So long story short my #1 injector stuck open, washed out the rings and now the cylinder has no compression. So rebuild time. After lots of searching and i mean lots of searching I cant seem to find anyone who makes a high comp piston, any leads would be greatly appreciated. If I cant find a good piston I was wondering if anyone has ever shaver the block and/or heads. How well would this work with those damn valves. I imagine punching it out 1.0mm would solve that but any insight would be appreciated. As well as pistons does anyone know of a good cam other than tom morrna

I've read that valve to piston clearance is pretty tight on our motors, so if you mill the deck, be very careful. As far as a high compression piston, I don't think anybody makes a direct fit. If you find something, it'd likely require machining. I do believe the newer trucks (like 03-up) have a small dome, but don't think you'll gain much from the switch.

aftermarket parts for the 3.0 are hard to come by, if you do find them your going to be paying a pretty pennie for them, if money isnt an object. CP Pistons is more than happy to make custom Pistons.

Thanks for the input. Ive decided to offset grind the crank to get the desired comp ratio. Also was able to find a cam from Camcraft. thanks
