Help with 1989 Bronco II frame repair!

Yeah, I’ve done my share of frame repair and it’s not scary anymore. Take your time, support things… probably the most brutal repair was behind the steering box on my F-150. It’s a complex curve in there and a common problem in that vintage. Had a flat plate and no good way to conform it other than weld where I could with the MIG, clamp, heat with a torch, beat with a hammer and make it work. It was brutal because the only thing I took off the truck to do it was the steering box. Didn’t have the time or the place to make more room to work on it.

Probably the craziest was cutting a 3’ section of frame out of my green Ranger and replacing it. The entire section. Outside on gravel. That took a couple days to complete. Definitely nerve-wracking because the reason I was replacing that section was a combination of rust and the truck falling off jackstands and the frame being severely damaged. So I didn’t breath easy until it was back sitting on tires
