help v8 swap in a 04 ranger

well i need to know everything so people just throught everything at me. and should i go with the 4.6 or the 5.0

Yes, use the Search function and the Tech Library.

I beleive the 5.0 is the best bet, from an Explorer or Mountaineer. The 4.6 is too wide to make it doable without serious amounts of work I think is what I've heard

An Explorer 5.0 is as plug-and-play as they come, at least for OBD-II trucks like yours. I have yet to see ANYONE with a 4.6 in anything but a Gen 1 Ranger... Lots of people talk up a good game but I have yet to see a single person pull it off... Allegedly there is a twin-turbo 5.4 Ranger floating around, but when I asked the guy for pictures he quit talking to me. So odds are its non-existent. Stick with the Explorer 5.0.. and the search button. Everything you need is already in the library.
