Help, ticking in top half of motor

had valve break off into cylinder, so i replaced the heads on my 04 with 06 taurus heads, I had ticking prior to replacing heads, but after replacing heads I still had the ticking so I replaced all the lifters with new ones and i still have the ticking. HELP please.

Did you check the tappets to see if there was any indentation from the valve stem ?

Have u checked the underside of rocker arms for wear? What about wear on the valve stems? Also , did u reuse same pushrods? U mentioned u installed new lifters, have u gone back and tried retorqing the rocker arms? Ir recommended to soak new lifters in fresh oil prior to installing, was this done?
