A lot less expensive and time consuming option to an axle swap is a lunch box locker, Power Trax no slip or the like that will mount in the open diff carrier.

Best place to find a rear end near where ever you are is to go to car-part.com
They have the 4.56 listed but only as an open rear.

Would someone mind telling me what I should be looking for as I roam the junkyards. I'd like to find and install a limited slip axle in my 4.0, 5sp Auto that currently has 3.56 gears If I read the tag right.

3.55 probably.

if your staying with that gear ratio, you want an axle tag that says 3L55 8.8. or door tag R5.
