HELP! Door latch inop

1985 ford ranger base v6
Missing rod + clips for driver side outside door handle assembly, where can i get a replacement? Cant find one anywhere.
Tailgate latch ONLY works on the passenger side, driver side wont unlatch unless i do it manually. How do i even service the tailgate, there is no access panels?
If anyone has one let me know.

Junkyard is probably your only option for replacements unless you can bend something yourself to work.

As for the tailgate, kinda wondered the same thing after looking at mine.

got the rod from the junkyard, i also ordered the 90s rangers one , i can see if it fits and let the community know. also got new door handle and drilled the old one out
all 4 trucks i checked out at the pull n save someone beat me to the tailgates. im gonna keep hunting around though.
