I think i have all of the bolts removed but the tranny is still not separating from the engine. It's a 94' Mazda B3000 with manual 5 speed. and yes I removed the Drive shaft and the exhaust and the rear trany support. I have a jack on the engine and on the trans but cant seem to get things moving.
Does any one have a picture or diagram of the bellhousing? Just so i can make sure I didnt miss something. Its been 20 years since i pulled a transmisision so i may have forgotten something.

you probally dont have the bolts out of the top of the bellhousing, they are a PITA, i dont have a diagram for you though, sorry

I can't copy the procedure but Shop-Key also shows you need to remove the starter. That, and i'm assuming you removed the shifter aswell?

You shouldn't drop your tranny. It might break and be unusable.

Sorry. I had too. I'm scum.

Dropping might help.

:-) yes shifter is off. and i got the two top bolts and your right they are a pain. its not in gear and i'm stuck. :-)

anyone have an old one they could take a pic of so i could make sure i didn't miss something.

thanks guys

There are two bolts at 1o clock and 11 o clock that face the opposite direction from the rest, took me forever to find them. Also Im sure it goes without saying, but just to cover the bases, is the starter disconnected? Its most likely these two rogue bolts that you missed. Dont let it bother you though, every single one of us missed them at one point in time.

Makes me dread ever having to take my tranny out if I had too now.
