help buying truck

looking at a new ranger what all should i look for it needs inspected

Its a 19 year old truck with "high miles" that needs TLC, haha. Probably check to see if it runs and drives ok, and how much rust it has. It will definitely need some work, but thats fine if the truck is cheap.

We bought out 98 with 240k miles for $750 since they thought it had a blown head gasket, body was in great condition and it ran fine. We replaced the entire suspension and swapped to a manual, plus new wheels and tires, and still havent spent as much as most trucks of its year sell for. When the engine goes out, we'll replace it and have a virtually brand new truck for maybe $5k total

i bought it drove great just has exhaust leak at cat thats it i put deposit on it cant wait to get it friday or saturday she just lil dirty. 6 other people showed up to look but i put deposit on it just in time

Post pics of the new truck! Your truck has the same exhaust leak I do. I've had a hell of a time getting it fixed right. I tried a new gasket and double gasketing with no luck. Hope you have better luck than I have.

Complete Vehicle Inspection

Your local Firestone Complete Auto Care offers a great deal- a very good inspection for $19.95 -tires,brakes,belts,hoses,front end components,bulbs etc.. It is mosly visual but they will MIC the drums and rotors and test your brake fluid and they will look it over pretty good for 20 bucks - yes the will try to sell you some stuff but no you don't have to buy anything either.we do these for people who have bought or are planning to buy used vehicles all the time.Since DESTINATION M/T's are the best I hope you were coming there anyway!
