HELP! bearing fix gone wrong.

I have an 86 ranger, pulled off the rotor, the bearing came out in chunks and left the bearing race behind.. cant for the life of me get the bastard off. Any ideas?

Btw I am new here, hope I have posted this in the right spot.

If you have a cutoff wheel you could cut the race along the length of the spindle and when deep enough put a big chisel in the groove and hit it with a hammer splitting the race.

I like that option.^ Could be done without power tools. (Just a good file or 2.) Just be carfull not to cut too far. If you're really careful might even be possible with an angle grinder. Could also try a hack saw blade in a pair of vice grips.....

You might just be able to break it loose with channel locks. If not then split it apart

Angle grinder. Cut a groove down to near bottom and whack it with a chisel and it will release. If you nick the stub it will be fine.

Heat up a spot on it, till it glows orange, Oxy/ace torch needed.
Hit that right in the center with a chisel bit in an air hammer.

It will expand the race and it will easily slide right off.

I get paid by flag, time is money, that's the fastest and easiest way to remove any stuck or pressed on race, works great with carrier bearings too.

It looks like at the very out side edge (shoulder) on the race, has worn into the spindle shaft, from spinning on the spindle, its is more than likely damaged the spindle, if you dont have a big array of tools you can pull the the whole knuckle, take it to a machine shop and have it pressed off, you can rent the pullers that will be needed but Iam betting that its toast, and will be hitting the wrecking yards or craigslist, or you make try one big ass pipe wrench
