My credo
If it ain't broke, fix it 'till it is!
The distributor was a little loose, but not so that it moves freely on its own. I'll run for a little, then die. I'll mess with the dizzy, it'll run for a little then die. I just don't know what's wrong with it.

Could be the TFI moduel going out or the plug going into it may be going bad. Changing the TFI models on them are a PITA. Have you tried tightening up the hold down bolt for the dizzy? Its a 13mm bolt.

Not yet, its a PITA to find.

Its right behind the dizzy. If you can get your head under the hood far enough then you can just see it. Once found make sure you check your timing. I use a 13mm stubby wrench when adjusting the timing. I hate the exhaust cross over, it has got me a few times.

you know what the point of the exhaust crossover is? mines blocked off cuz i removed my smog pump, the crossover is still on there jus blocked at the end

I have actually changed the TFI on my 85 B2 twice already...once cause it needed it and the second time because when I was making sure it was sitting properly I dropped it and scratched the dang thing GRRRRR

I havent had any problem changing it though it is a bit of a PITA unless you are up in the engine. I just use the special socket that you have to buy and just use the fingers to loosen and tighten it up.
