Hi guys,
I came across this site a few weeks ago shortly after purchasing an 83 ranger from a friend of mine. He got caught up in a transmission change he wasn't able to finish and had to move overseas. This truck has a few issues that need to be resolved before it sees the road. I'd like to run it all summer as is and do a 302/T5 swap next year. I'm no stranger to Fords. I've got an 88 mustang gt that's a very clean street/strip car. (Runs mid 7's in the 1/8th). I've also got an 81 F250 that started as a nice frame off resto but ended up getting put together quick when we had to move 5 years ago. My wife drives a 2000 Windstar and my current daily driver is a 99 Crown Vic. I also own a 2004 Yamaha FZ6 (because Ford doesn't build bikes).
Looks like this site has a lot of good info and experts on everything ranger. I hope to take in what I can and give some advice when needed.
