OK, my chosen name says, well, most of it. I’m a FORD PackRat! Got lots of’em. Picking up my third Ranger this weekend, sold the others, still kicking myself. First was an ’84 2.0 converted to Zephyr 2.4, ported/shaved oval port heads, weber carb, headers, gutted cat. Had lots of fun with the ricers! The jumping bass decals on the cap fooled ‘em! #2 was a 2001 XLT 3.0 5spd. Best vehicle I have ever owned. 158,000 miles mile’s, re-curved the fuel timing at 10,000 miles, replaced tires at 50k, 108k,150k …….. still had original clutch, brake pads … etc .. My next Ranger is a 85 2wd 2.8 5 spd, the 2.8 is tired, I have several 5.0’s & 5.8'S gathering dust . I did have another “Ranger”, a 1982 F-150 4X4, toast. I also have a ’89 F-150 w/’90 Stang GT 5.0 motor, Rancho lift .. (still bank fire injection, plan the mass air conversion this summer)… A 84 F-150 2wd w351W AOD, ’85 T-top GT Stang converted to mass air, nice car! A 90 GT Cobra clone (convertible), lowered, 88 GT 5 spd, 67 Coupe w/390 C-6(long term project), a 94 GT (my daily driver), and last but not least a 65 Stang tube frame(circa 80’s) drag car to be pro-streeter!
I did say PackRat, right? I also have many, I do mean MANY parts for other Fords, cars and trucks. Galaxie trim, ‘48 pick-up hood trim, Cleveland race cams……… OK, maybe my name should be FordJunkie. I’ve been playing with Fords for 30 years! So, hopefully you all can tell me what I don’t know! Also have a ’39 Fiat Topolino all steel body!
