headlight kill (DRL)

There are guns for that you know. :icon_thumby:

Sorry about that. I just had to be a smart ass there.

Driving around shooting at people that irritate you will get you on the news... and not in a good way. :icon_thumby:

Yet people do EXACTLY that every day

lights or not.

The real root cause is that people "don't see", because they don't ****ing LOOK.

I've hit people who didn't look before pulling out in front of me.

Usually some old **** who shouldn't be driving at all, because they can't see their own hood ornament let alone street signs or other vehicles.

Or a drunk

So I've read your stance on DRL's, is your argument the same with (State)mandatory laws requiring you to turn your low beams on if you use the wipers?

the difference with that is the lights make you visible through the rain.

i crushed a slate-gray escape with the front of a dodge because in the hurricane force rain i couldn't see him stand out from the road, and drove right over him, because his lights were off.

i dont have a problem with DRL's i just want an option to turn them off that's all. yes its illegal have i ever got in trouble with DRL's shut off. Not at all. so i dont see a problem im not that much of a nerd to care :D

in my '94 F150(sold in Ontario originally), I am pretty sure it was just a simple relay for the DRL's

i think the only real cure for people not turning right across in front of you is to make your vehicle look like a patrol car, today i saw someone turn right in front of the path of a red minivan. i was thinking, bet he wouldnt have done that to a cop car. i disabled the drl in my wifes blazer by pulling a fuse, luckily thats the only circuit the fuse was for. wanted to pull the power lock relay also but somehow the interior lights run through that as well. i wonder if you could dodge the "wipers on/lights on" law by simply not using the wipers. mine are so bad anyways that i can see better without them.
