Headers for 2.8

just wondering if the factory headers off the 92 and newer 2.9 motors will work on a 85 2.8. I am replacing the motor and want to do all that i can now. Duraspark is coming after deq. thanks

They were still manifolds in '92, but no, they won't fit because the exhaust port spacing is different. Although, headers were made for this engine, shouldn't be too hard to find a set.

ok then am i to assume that thet redesigned manifolds were for the 4 cyclinder trucks only and the motor that i am putting in thetruck is out of an 85 areostar and it had the headers on it is it possibly to use them in the ranger.

Aerostar headers fit; I haven't used them, but others have. A muffler shop should have no trouble hooking them up to your exhaust.
