I don't remember when I joined, but the information on the website says 2007. I know I joined before then. I am pretty sure I joined when I still had my 89 STX and that would make my join date 2002 or before. With that in mind I would say I have been here 20+ years.

Yep, everyone had to reregister then. You can pretty well figure that people who have a similar 2007 join date were carry overs from before the restart. I don't think anyone kept their old join date, but some may have been able to get their post counts carried over. I might be remembering a different software move though.

I wish that the old forums were more viewable through that Wayback website. There are some members/trucks I remember that didn't come back after some of the software/host changes. Unfortunately, I don't remember the usernames.

I joined TRS right after fordranger.net was hacked. That was in 99 or 2000. I remember shortly after I joined, a member was hit by a car or dump truck while trying to cross the street. Jim put a banner on the front page in memory of him. Did this site used to have a chatroom people would use?

Yeah, they used to have a chat night.

Yeah, I remember the chat nights for sure. Must have been 2001-2002ish. One evening a week for an hour or two.

Well I guess I've been around that long then. I remember the site having that feature, but I never used it.

Edit: I don't remember the memorial banner, but that isn't a surprise, that isn't the kind of detail I would recall anyway. I remember that Jim has posted about a few passings over the years, but couldn't begin to tell you who it when.

Edit again: Come to think of it I never paid much attention to the home page unless I was looking for something specific. Then, like now, I tend to link straight into the forums. Only time I see the home page now is opening the site on my cell phone, and that's only to open the menu and head where I want to go.

Same. I use the forum, nothing else.
