I'm finally going to get around to installing my Explorer 8.8 into my Ranger and I found this kit at Summit...

http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?part=SLF-1160&view=1&N=700+150+

This kit moves the axle from under the springs to over them.

It looks like it may be a way to avoid welding new perches, shock mounts, and resetting pinion angle when installing it in a Ranger

Several guys at Serious Explorations have used it for lift and seem satisfied.

I was wondering if anyone had used it here and if so, what are your experiences with it?

Cheaper to not use it and cut off the old ones and put them on top of the axle, then don't worry about it.

Cutting off the old one's to reuse them wasn't nearly as hard as you would think. I cut them off and welded them on top in less than an hour.

when i did my ex. 8.8 swap i stopped by the local off road shop and got all brand new perches and shock mounts for 50$ i wana say. just thrown out options for ya. good luck.

they work....but you may want to run custom shock mounts or use s10/dodge spring plates or two drivers side sploder plates if keeping ranger stock mounts.
