Has anyone painted their Edge wheels black?

I am thinking of painting mine black, but leaving the cap chrome. Has anyone done this before, any pics? What do you guys think?

It would look like a chrome hubcap suspended in the middle of a dark grey tire from more than 5' away. Unless you catch a glimpse of the rotor behind the wheel, then you would see that too.

That is one thing about black wheels IMO, you can't tell if they are a rim worth hundreds of dollars a piece or a base rim that lost the hubcap unless they are polished clean.

i remember when all the guys painted their wheels to match their cars but kept the the little chrome "moon" hubcaps highly polished.
'course that was before 'mag' and aluminum wheels came along. yeah, that was many, many years ago.

So you guys don't think I should do this? What if I painted the hub as well? If not, I am thinking about the Black ProComp Rock Crawlers.

i'll be using a color called 'Charcoal Green' from Rustoleum on my wheels next spring.

My truck is black. I'm just not sure how my rim will look after painted black.

black would look cool up close, but it wont show the rim from farr, thats with all the black rims.

now the color that mazda has on the winter rims would look slick on the rims u have.

or a gun metal gray would be nice too

Dark gray rims have been growing on me ever since my brother got them on his Mustang.
